A pub in Grange-over-Sands is turning to sport to help it raise money for charity.

The Keg and Kitchen will be hosting three separate sporting events to bring in donations for St Mary's Hospice, based in Ulverston, and CancerCare, which supports people throughout North Lancashire and south Cumbria.

The team at The Keg said: "We will be organising a football match, a cricket match and a pub walk.

"Players will be donating to play, and we will be collecting at the matches and on the walk."

The first event, a walking football match, will see people aged over 40 take on a local team who are regular visitors at the pub.

Whilst the date for the contest is still to be confirmed, training will take place at Grange Playing Field at 7:00pm on Monday, May 13 and Monday, May 20.

Those interested can simply turn up on the night to get get involved.
